Three Mercan hotels nominated for the 4th Tourism Leaders Awards 2025

The nominees for the 2025 edition of the Prémios Líderes do Turismo (Tourism Leaders Awards), an initiative by TNews, have been announced. In this fourth edition, the awards will recognize leading companies in the tourism sector across various categories: Luxury Hotel, Leisure Hotel, Family Hotel, Hotel Brand, Travel Brand, Tech, Creative Brand, Event of the Year, and Opening of the Year.

Mercan Properties has three of its hotels nominated in distinct categories of this event, showcasing the diversity and excellence of its hospitality portfolio in Portugal:

• Casa da Companhia, Vignette Collection – nominated in the Luxury Hotel category
• Sé Catedral Hotel Porto, Tapestry Collection by Hilton – nominated in the Leisure Hotel category
• Holiday Inn Beja – nominated for Opening of the Year

In addition to these categories, the event will also present two special recognitions: the Impact Award and the Leadership in Tourism Award, both selected by the TNews editorial team.

For the second consecutive year, the Woman Leader in Tourism by WITH award will be presented by the Nova SBE Westmont Institute of Tourism & Hospitality. This award honors the contribution of women in the tourism industry. In this edition, WITH will also introduce the Sustainable Impact Award for the first time.

Voting is open until May 28, 2024. Public voting accounts for 50% of the final results, while the remaining 50% will be determined by a jury composed of professionals in the areas of Communication, Marketing & Events, Innovation & Investment, Training & Human Resources.

The winners will be announced during the Tourism Leaders Conference & Awards Ceremony, held on June 5, at the Jerónimo Martins Grand Auditorium, Nova SBE, in Carcavelos.
