This Valentine’s Day, Alentejo passion is served at the table at Forno da Telha, in Évora, inside a historic setting where the warm atmosphere naturally invites intimacy. The evening is paired with live jazz by Paulo Marques, setting the tone for an unhurried celebration for two.

For the occasion, the restaurant created a special sharing-friendly menu inspired by regional flavors, starting with a comforting couvert of naturally fermented bread, olives, garlic-and-herb butter, and Forno da Telha olive oil. The meal continues with a delicate starter of low-temperature egg with field mushrooms, poejo, and Alentejo bread—a nod to local tradition with a refined touch.

For the main course, guests can choose one of two standout dishes: seared corvina served with “arroz malandrinho” with shellfish and cilantro, or Black Iberian pork tenderloin with Alentejo migas, orange, and a rich meat jus. To finish on a sweet note, dessert brings together dark chocolate, hazelnut, and Forno da Telha olive oil, followed by a petit four: carob truffle with chili, for a subtle, unexpected kick.

The Valentine’s menu is €45 per person and includes beverages: still and sparkling water, soft drinks, beer, white and red wine, and coffee or tea—making it an easy choice for a romantic Évora escape.
