Mercan Group Strengthens Ties in Japan Through Visit with Panama’s Ambassador

Mercan Group’s meeting with Ambassador Walter Cohen Uribe highlights its efforts to reinforce relations in Japan and support the international visibility of Panama’s Qualified Investor Program.

Mercan Group was recently represented in Japan by Jason Morgan, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, together with Junji Okabe, Business Development Manager, Sales & Partnerships, during a courtesy visit with Mr. Walter Cohen Uribe, Ambassador of Panama to Japan.

The visit marked an important opportunity to reinforce institutional ties and exchange perspectives on Panama’s growing visibility in Japan. It also comes at a meaningful time in the relationship between the two countries, as Panama and Japan celebrated more than 120 years of diplomatic relations in 2024.

For Mercan Group, the meeting also reflects its continued commitment to expanding awareness of the Panama Qualified Investor Program in strategic international markets, while strengthening relationships with key institutional stakeholders.

As Panama and Japan continue to deepen cooperation across areas such as business, logistics, education, and cultural exchange, this visit represents another step in Mercan Group’s efforts to support the international promotion of investment opportunities linked to Panama.
