Casa das Lérias, a historic hotel unit in Amarante, invites guests to discover the city through a walk dedicated to urban sketching. On May 30, the Urban Sketch Walk combines a walking tour with the practice of urban sketching. In this way, participants are challenged to capture different moments on paper.

In addition, the workshop is led by artist Vasco Mota and concludes with lunch at the Casa das Lérias Cafeteria. At the same time, the initiative promises a creative and peaceful way to explore Amarante’s historic center.

Walking through Amarante is always a great plan, whether to discover the historic center or to enjoy nature and the view over the Tâmega River. Specifically, on Saturday, May 30, Casa das Lérias proposes a unique walk through the city: the Urban Sketch Walk.

In this creative initiative, participants are no longer limited to simply observing what surrounds them. Instead, they also take on the mission of reproducing on paper what they see.

Additionally, the urban sketch workshop is guided by artist Vasco Mota. Over the course of 2 hours and 30 minutes, the artist shares techniques and practical tips. In this way, each participant is able to convey the essence of the city through drawing.

The activity begins at 10:30 a.m. at the São Gonçalo Church. It then ends at the Casa das Lérias Cafeteria with a lunch that includes soup, a sandwich, dessert, a soft drink, and coffee.
In addition, the Urban Sketch Walk is limited to 20 participants and costs €15 per person, including lunch. Registrations are now available through the phone number +351 225 245 660, by email at info@casadaslerias.com, or through Casa das Lérias’ Instagram page.
